Pemba Dolma Sherpa is a bright and ambitious 14-year-old student in Class 9 at Melamchi Ghyang School in Nepal. She comes from a farming family in the remote Helambu region, where her parents work tirelessly as subsistence farmers to support their children.

Pemba is one of five siblings—she has three sisters and one brother. Despite the financial challenges her family faces, she is deeply committed to her studies and dreams of becoming an engineer. Her passion for learning and problem-solving fuels her determination to succeed.
